Score your dog’s current food for £14.90

The short answer

Dog Food Fix provides a clear, independent report based on the food label and your dog’s profile. In 5 minutes, know whether to keep, adjust, or change with confidence. Instant PDF delivery.

Built for UK dog food labels

The UK pet food market is regulated under the Animal Feed (Composition, Marketing and Use) (England) Regulations. Labels must declare ingredients in descending order of weight, but the rules around vague terms like "meat and animal derivatives" mean transparency varies enormously between brands.

Dog Food Fix was designed to help you decode these labels. We cover supermarket brands (Bakers, Harringtons, Pedigree), premium brands (Forthglade, Burns, Lily's Kitchen), and veterinary-associated brands (Royal Canin, Hill's) — all scored against the same objective framework. What the £14.90 report includes

  • Independent food score based on the label
  • Daily portion and calorie estimate for your dog
  • Label red-flag check in plain English
  • Know whether to keep, adjust, compare, or change
  • Safe 7–14 day transition guide if a change is needed
  • Vet-check warning where appropriate

Red-flag screening happens before payment. If label data is incomplete, the report tells you what is missing.

Frequently asked questions

Is Dog Food Fix a veterinary practice?

No. Dog Food Fix provides educational nutrition analysis based on food labels. It is not a veterinary consultation, diagnosis, or treatment. The founder is not RCVS-registered. If your dog is unwell, contact a veterinary surgeon registered with the RCVS.

Which UK brands are in the database?

We currently cover popular UK brands including Bakers, Harringtons, Forthglade, Burns, Lily's Kitchen, Pedigree, and Royal Canin, among others. The database is growing. If your product is not listed, you can upload photos of the label.

How much does a report cost?

A single Dog Food Fix report is £14.90. This is a one-off payment. There is no subscription. You receive a PDF with a food quality score, portion estimate, transition guidance, and red-flag screening.

What if my dog has health problems?

Dog Food Fix is for healthy adult dogs only. If your dog has a diagnosed condition, is on medication, is under 12 months, or is pregnant or lactating, the system will identify this during the safety screen and redirect you to consult your local vet.

Can I use it for puppy food?

No. Puppy nutrition requires specific veterinary guidance. Dog Food Fix does not score, assess, or recommend puppy food. This is a deliberate safety boundary.

Do you recommend raw feeding?

Raw feeding is an owner's choice. Dog Food Fix does not recommend raw feeding by default. Our scoring system evaluates complete commercial foods based on label transparency and nutritional composition.
